SC14601 13oz Black Selvedge Denim 1953 Type II Jacket
In the mid-1950s, denim jackets, much like jeans, were making a transition from their roots as workwear, to becoming the casual clothing of everyday Americans; Sugar Cane captures perfectly the details that would have been found on a Type II jacket from that time. Cut from their 13oz black denim, developed in-house, Sugar Cane utilizes a sulfur dyed warp yarn that will fade to white over time, and a reactive pigment dyed weft yarn that will fade to a dark grey over time. The jacket features two chest pockets, front pleats, button cuffs, adjustable waist tabs on the rear, and features a regular body with a cropped length, inline with the details for an era-accurate reproduction.
