IHSH-437-IND 13.5oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigo

This CPO shirt is cut from a 13.5oz dobby-woven cloth using 100% Mexican cotton, an Iron Heart first. The long-fiber Mexican cotton yarns produce a thicker thread, which adds serious heft to the weave. At 13.5 ounces, this fabric could easily pass for something much heavier. Dobby weaving uses a specialized loom attachment to manipulate the yarns during the weave, producing a dense, three-dimensional geometric texture across the surface of the cloth. The textured surface exposes more yarn edges than a standard twill or plain weave, allowing this fabric to develop high-contrast fading over time that really highlights the intricacy of the weave.

Despite the weight, this is a breathable fabric that works well as a shirt-jacket hybrid during warmer months. The indigo rope-dyed warp and weft start with a rich, saturated tone that will lighten and develop character with wear and washing.

Iron Heart's CPO cut is a western-style silhouette with a slim fit and slightly longer body, featuring snap fastenings, flap-down chest pockets, handwarmer pockets, and a curved hem.
