orSlow was founded in Hyogo, Japan in 2005 with designer Ichiro Nakutsu at the helm. Drawing inspiration from work and military wear of the 19th and 20th centuries, orSlow takes a different approach to the production of clothing, focusing on a slow, considered desgin process, and a focus on longevity. They define 'slow' as, "Crafting original clothes carefully, creating clothes that are adaptable to different styles of different times, and presenting the antithesis of a fast-moving modern society and fashion industry and slowing it down."

With much of the fabric production happening in-house on old shuttle looms, every aspect of clothing from orSlow is carefully assembled to present a beautiful, long-lasting garment.
