WWII 40's U.S. Navy Sumi Coated Linen Utility Trousers - Black

These utility trousers take orSlow's 1940s U.S. Navy work pant silhouette and pair it with one of the more unique fabric treatments in the lineup. The base is a lightweight 100% linen, coated on both sides with traditional Japanese sumi ink, which gives the fabric a deep, matte black finish with a dry, slightly structured hand. The coating transforms what would otherwise be a breezy summer linen into somewhat rigid fabric, while the linen underneath keeps things breathable when the temperature climbs. Over time, the sumi coating softens and wears away at the high points, gradually revealing the natural linen beneath and developing a beautiful patina.

The cut stays faithful to the wartime original with a wide leg, high rise, and a relaxed straight silhouette with a button fly.
