The TCD-019-BR is cut from Pure Blue Japan’s teacore denim, a 14oz selvedge woven on vintage shuttle looms with slub yarns, which vary in thickness and give the surface an uneven texture. The warp yarns are dyed brown first and then rope-dyed black, and they’re woven with a brown weft. As the black wears away with use, the brown underneath shows through, the same way teacore leather ages. This version has been given a single wash, so most of the shrinkage is already out. The relaxed tapered fit has a higher rise and a roomy seat and thigh, then tapers sharply from the knee to the leg opening, finished with a blue selvedge ID.
