The XX-013 is cut from Pure Blue Japan’s original XX Series fabric, a 14oz selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms with slub yarns, which vary in thickness and give the surface an uneven texture. This version has been given a single wash, so most of the shrinkage is already out. It has a softer hand than raw denim while keeping the deep indigo that fades with wear. The slim tapered fit has a lower front rise that sits below the natural waist and a fuller back rise, and it stays close through the thigh before tapering steadily to a narrow leg opening, finished with a blue selvedge ID.
Expect the waist to stretch up to an inch over the first few weeks of wear. Please see our measurements below for sizing help.
