Five-pocket shorts from Samurai Jeans in 15oz "Otokogi" selvedge denim, made from American Texas cotton spun into uneven yarn, which gives the fabric its slub and nep at a weight that's wearable through summer. Samurai opened the pattern up through the waist and seat this season relative to previous releases. Iron rising-sun button fly, copper rivets, and jacquard pocket bags woven with shōgyō mujō, the impermanence of all things. Rinsed, with minimal further shrinkage. Made in Japan.
