A long-sleeve work shirt from Samurai in their original "Ai-Madara" sashiko fabric—natural and standard indigo yarns woven against brown, with indigo deliberately placed in the sashiko passes that take the most friction. The mottled pattern sharpens as the shirt fades rather than washing out. Kanoko refers to a fawn, and the fabric is reminiscent of the scattered spotting across its back. One wash. Made in Japan.
